Security Notices

Restriction on Purchases at Pharmacies in New York: On account of a spike in fraud at pharmacies in New York, effective 10/31/2011 a restriction has been placed on debit card purchases at pharmacies and drug stores in New York. Please contact the credit union during business hours (Monday-Friday: 10am – 5pm Pacific Time) at 1-818-562-3400 and the restriction can be lifted for you.

Visa Debit Card Transactions in Hong Kong Blocked: Due to a recent and dramatic increase in debit card fraud, effective 7/08/2011 the credit union placed a block on all debit card transactions originating in Hong Kong. Please be aware that if you are traveling to or reside in Hong Kong, your Visa debit card will not work for merchants located in Hong Kong; however, the block can be lifted on your individual debit card by telephoning us during regular business hours (Monday-Friday: 10am – 5pm Pacific Time, Sunday-Thursday: 1am – 8am Hong Kong Time) at 1-818-562-3400.
FRAUDULENT TEXT MESSAGES: In the last few days credit unions from around the country have reported their members are receiving bogus text message (smishing) alerts. The text message indicates it is from Credit Union Services and advises the member to call the number provided in the text message to have their card reactivated. This is a scam as no credit union would ever ask a member for this type of information using text messaging.
Better safe than sorry
